Greetings! Hope this newsletter finds you doing well and being blessed! On the week-end of January 21 – 22, we did a Soul Winning Made Simple Seminar at the Mount Olive SDA Church in Athens, Georgia. It was once again our priviledge to work with Pastor Roberto Guerrero – a man who loves the Lord and loves evangelism!

The church was full on Sabbath morning and most all stood by for the afternoon sessions. There was a truly blessed anointing service for vespers that lasted for three hours as over 30 members asked for spiritual healing, physical and emotional healing, forgiveness, and re-dedication of their lives to the Savior. You had to be trhere to see and feel the sweet and calm presence of the Holy Spirit. There is a great need and hunger for these anointing services in our churches.

By Sunday morning, fourteen new Bible studies had been started by those who attended Sabbath’s sessions! All in all it was a tremendously blessed week-end. Sabbath was a long day for us as we left at 4:30 in the morning and got to Athens at 11:00 AM. I shared my testimony in the morning service, then had two session after dinner, then the three hour anointing service. We were all tired – especially me, but it was a happy tired because we knew Yahweh had blessed!

As usual, the devil was also at work. He often will try to upset these soul winning week-ends. This time our son Paul was very nauseous and vomiting during the day. I got him some cinnamon, ginger and alphafa, and with Yahweh’s blessing he got well! God is always greater!

Among the ministers that will receive the truth packets this month are Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Rod Parsley and Jack & Revella Van Impe. Pray that these men and women who are tremendously influential in the world will be blessed by these truth filled materials! We praise Yahweh the Lord that of the 222 ministers that have received the Truth Packets, not one has responded negatively! What better joy can there be for a Christian than to see another life changed as Jesus Christ is accepted into the heart? Soul-winning is the joy and the heartbeat of the believer. Telling someone how the Savior changed your life will have a powerful effect on the hearer. In fact, the early churches main form of evangelism was personal retelling of what the Lord has done in their lives. Personal testimony is vital in the soul-winning enterprise. The Lord’s servant tells us this:

“Our confession of His faithfulness is God’s chosen agency for revealing Christ to the world . . .what will be most effective is the testimony of our own experience . . . These precious acknowledgements. . . when supported by a Christ like life, have an irresistible power that works for the salvation of souls.” – DA, p. 347.

“The true honest expression of a son or daughter of God, spoken in natural simplicity, has power to unbolt the door of hearts long closed against Christ and His love.” – COL, p. 232.

There’s power in a personal testimony. In fact, we will overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb AND the word of OUR TESTIMONY. Our Redeemer when giving evangelism instruction to the cured demoniac told him to “Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.” Mark 5:19.

People can argue doctrine with you, but they cannot argue against a personal testimony of what the Lord has done in your life! In our Soul Winning Made Simple Seminar we spend time teaching others and demonstrating to them how a personal testimony can be evangelistic and how it can be given in five minutes and also how it can be followed up by the gospel prayer of faith that leads a soul to the Savior. Every believer has a testimony to tell. Testimony services will also give life to the church and help the members remember what Yahweh the Lord and His Son our Savior has done for them! Tell somebody your story!

Book a Soul Winning Made Simple week-end at your church and increase the success of your evangelism! We do two week-ends a month. February and March are taken, May has 1 week-end open. June, July, and August are open. One Week-end is open in September, and two week-ends are open for October, November. We take December off for family visitation and travele. If you have an evangelistic series in 2006, you will want to motivate your members to get Bible studies and prepare to bring them to your meetings. Have the Soul Winning Made Simple Seminar three months or so before your meetings and you will have better results. I can guarantee you that! I speak from experience!

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38.

Let us not complain because we are often asked to give for the up-building of the cause. What is it that makes these frequent calls a necessity? Is it not the rapid increase of missionary enterprises? Shall we, by refusing to give, retard the growth of these enterprises? . . . All who possess the Spirit of Christ will have a tender, sympathetic heart, and an open, generous hand. . . . To us has been entrusted the work of proclaiming the last message of mercy to be given to our world--the message that is to prepare a people to stand in the day of God. Do we realize our accountability? Are we acting our part in the proclamation of the message? The present time is burdened with eternal interests. We are to unfurl the standard of truth before a world perishing in error.” – Ellen White in Our High Calling, p. 197. Surely this applies to lay training and getting the truth to other pastors! We can never out-give the Lord!
